Port of Brisbane – Agora Timbers

This project was the third for the Port of Brisbane Corporation and involved a 4,000m2 warehouse and 400m2 offices over 2 levels. The heavy duty section of external hardstand was designed to take 30 Tonne point loads from container storage which resulted in a post tension slab design to reduce costs. The warehouse has an ESFR sprinkler system and was also the subject of an alternative engineered fire solution to reduce the building setback from the rear boundary which allowed for greater site coverage hence improving the financial figures for the project significantly. We were also able to share the existing sprinkler tanks and pumps from the adjoining property avoiding costly duplication of this infrastructure and resulting in better utilisation of the land available.

Kwila Investments

This building was built for Kwila Investments at 341 Thynne Road, Morningside for long-term lease to Bunzl Australia. The building consists of 7,300m2 of 13 metre high-rack warehouse, 800m2 of Offices, and 7,000m2 of car parking and hardstand.

Client requirements also included the necessity for high bay roller shutters, multiple loading docks, and a post-tension internal slab capable of bearing both high racking point loads and hard-wheeled, high volume forklift traffic.

This building was built for Argent Australia, and incorporates a 5,000m2 High-rack  warehouse and 300m2 of Offices, and 2,000m2 of external concrete car-parking and headstand.
